Getting Started

How do I create an account?

You can sign in with your Google account, Apple ID, or create an account with email and password. If you're joining an existing fleet, you'll need a join code from your team admin.

How do I create a new fleet?

When you register, choose "Create a new fleet." The app will generate a join code that you can share with family members or team members.

How do I invite someone to my fleet?

Open the menu and tap "Invite Member." You can share your fleet's join code directly or send an email invite.

Managing Vehicles

How do I add a vehicle?

From the Fleet Chat, say "Add a vehicle" and the AI assistant will walk you through it. Or use the "My Fleet" screen and tap the + button.

How do I log maintenance?

Tell the AI assistant: "I just got an oil change on the Camry at 45,000 miles." It will log it automatically. You can also add maintenance manually from the vehicle detail screen.

How do I scan a document?

Tap the camera icon in Fleet Chat and take a photo of an insurance card, inspection sticker, oil change sticker, or registration card. The AI will extract the data and file it under the correct vehicle.

Is the AI accurate?

The AI uses Google's Gemini model for document extraction. While highly accurate, we recommend reviewing extracted data before relying on it. You can always edit any record after it's created.

Subscriptions & Billing

What's included in the Free Plan?

The Free Plan includes up to 3 vehicles with basic fleet management features.

What's included in the Family Plan?

The Family Plan ($2.99/month or $24.99/year) includes unlimited vehicles, AI document scanning, and priority support.

How do I manage my subscription?

On iOS: manage through Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. On web: use the subscription management link in the app menu. You can cancel anytime — access continues through the end of your billing period.

Privacy & Security

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Access is restricted by project — users can only see vehicles in their own fleet. The app uses biometric lock (Face ID / fingerprint) for additional protection on mobile devices.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly from inside the app: open the menu, tap Account, then tap Delete account under the Danger zone. See our account deletion guide for full step-by-step instructions, what data is removed, and how to request deletion if you cannot open the app.

Troubleshooting

The app isn't loading

Try refreshing the page (web) or force-closing and reopening the app (mobile). If the issue persists, clear your browser cache or reinstall the app.

I'm getting a "permission denied" error

This usually means your account isn't linked to a fleet. Make sure you've completed registration with a valid join code. If the problem persists, contact support.

Push notifications aren't working

On iOS, make sure notifications are enabled in Settings > Dad's Fleet > Notifications. On web, push notifications are not supported.

Document scan didn't work correctly

Make sure the photo is well-lit and the text is legible. The AI works best with clear, straight-on photos. You can always edit the extracted data after scanning.
